Answer questions about how the tool operates
Confirm included accessories, attachments, or consumables
Clarify power requirements, size, capacity, or limitations
Explain proper handling, storage, and return procedures
Clear communication before a rental helps prevent misunderstandings and reduces the risk of improper use.
Providing Basic Operating Guidance
Tool owners may share general and non-professional guidance about:
starting and shutting down the tool,
normal operating behavior,
basic safety precautions, and
proper cleaning and storage after use.
Tool owners should not provide professional, certified, or technical services through the platform unless they are legally authorized and properly licensed to do so.
Resolving Issues During a Rental
If a renter experiences a problem with a tool during the rental period, tool owners should:
respond as soon as reasonably possible,
help determine whether the issue is related to normal operation, setup, or missing accessories, and
advise the renter to stop using the tool immediately if a safety concern is reported.
All communication related to tool issues should remain within the ToolRentalsOnline messaging system whenever possible.
Record of Communication
